Fair trade
Fair trade is a commercial partnership based on dialogue, transparency and respect, which seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by providing better trading conditions, ensuring the rights of producers and marginalized workers.
Fair trade organizations, supported by consumers, are actively engaged in helping producers, raising awareness and campaigning to change the rules and practices of conventional international trade.
Fairtrade products are produced and marketed in accordance with these principles, which is verified, where possible, by independent and credible guarantee systems.
